Guided Walking Holidays on Hadrian's Wall

""
Walking on the new Hadrian's Wall Trek in Northumberland & Cumbria

Newly opened in 2003, the Hadrian's Wall footpath is a great excursion into the past. Stroll with us in the present along this ancient monument, now a world heritage site, discovering along the way what it was like to be a roman legionnaire, posted to the most Northerly frontier of the empire - the wearing of leather skirts is optional!

We begin our trek at either Segedunum, Wallsend or Bowness on Solway by getting our "Trail Passport's" stamped. We then follow the trail collecting a further 5 stamps from various points along the way, qualifying us for our certificate and badge of completion.

The national trail follows the course of Hadrian's wall as closely as possible for most of it's length and on our trek we will visit the forts of Segedunum, Chester's, Housestead's Vindolanda and Birdoswald together with a visit to beautiful, historic market town of Hexham with it's wonderful medieval Abbey and old Gaol.

At various strategic points we will meet our support vehicle which will provide us with hot / cold drinks, snack's & lunch. It carries back up 1st aid supplies for foot repairs and is also only a mobile phone call away should we require it in an emergency or for the very tired and weary!

You are escorted by Andy, our senior instructor - a veteran of over 75 end to end crossing's and counting!
